Enrollment of Catechumens

Sunday, February 26 at the 10:00 am High Mass
It is a tradition that on the First Sunday in Lent, the catechumens are enrolled for the rites of the Easter Season. Following the sermon at the 10:00 am High Mass, the catechumens and their sponsors will be invited forward for the rite of enrollment. Then for the season of Lent, the catechumens and sponsors enter into the most intentional time of preparation for the rites of the Easter season.
Those who wish to be baptized will be baptized at the Easter Vigil at St. Mark's on Saturday, April 7 at 6:30 pm. This liturgy is the traditional service for baptisms in the church. Those who are seeking to be received into the Episcopal Church, as well as those seeking confirmation, will participate in a special diocesan mass at St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church on Sunday, May 20 at 4:00 pm. All of the catechumens and sponsors are expected to attend all of these special liturgies.
The Catechumenate meets on Sundays at 11:30 am following High Mass. All are welcome.
