The Catechumenate: Nurturing Our Faith at St. Mark's

Bishop Fitzpatrick with a confirmand from St. Mark'sThe Catechumenate is an intentional faith formation process for adults who wish to be baptized or confirmed as Christians, received into the Episcopal Church, or renew their baptismal vows. For those being baptized, confirmed or received, sponsors will share the journey. For those wishing to be renewed, they may serve as sponsors. A variety of topics will be covered by different teachers, both clergy and lay, and the program will culminate during Easter with baptisms, confirmations, receptions, and renewals.

Almighty and everlasting God, who in the paschal mystery established the new covenant of reconciliation: Grant that all who are reborn into the fellowship of Christ's body may show forth in their lives what they profess by their faith.
