Calling all Cooks!

On Tuesday, March 6, St. Mark's will be preparing meals for two different programs.

The first program is Cohort U. Every Tuesday night Episcopal college students and their friends gather for food and fellowship at the University of Hawai'i. On the first Tuesday of each month, St. Mark's has volunteered to provide the dinner for about 10 students.

The second program is Family Promise. Four times a year, the Church of the Crossroads partners with Family Promise to house local families who are in need. St. Mark's has joined this effort, providing meals for the families.

Would you be willing to join us in preparing these dinners? There is a signup sheet on the back table of the church. Please kokua and help us reach out to our Episcopal campus students, as well as local families who are in need. Mahalo in advance.

These dinners are sponsored by the QUEEN EMMA OUTREACH GUILD of St. Mark's.

The Catechumenate

The catechumenate continues at St. Mark's, preparing those who would like to be baptized, confirmed, or received into the Episcopal Church. You may also join the process if you would like to renew your baptismal vows. Sessions are on Sunday mornings after High Mass at approximately 11:30 am, and we usually finish by 12:30 noon.

Adults wishing to be baptized will be baptized at the Easter Vigil. Confirmation and Receptions into the church will be on Sunday, May 20. For more information speak with Father Lillie. It is not too late to join the process.

Friday Bible Study

Mass in the Mary Chapel, 8:00 am
Bible Study in the Parish Hall, 8:45 am

Every Friday we gather to study the upcoming Sunday's readings. The discussion is lively, often political, and a wide variety of viewpoints are welcomed. We use our collection of Oxford Annotated Bibles for this discussion; this edition supplies many historical and cultural details which influence our study. Newcomer are always welcome. Coffee is served, and we usually finish by 9:45 am.
