On Sunday, April 15, St. Mark's joined with other churches of the Episcopal Diocese for the Honolulu AIDS Walk in Kapi'olani Park. The walk is a benefit for the Life Foundation. Our walkers were supported by the Queen Emma Outreach Guild of St. Mark's. Since the event is held on a Sunday, our walkers attended the 7:30 am Low Mass, satisfying their desire to attend Sunday worship, before going to the park for the walk which commenced at 9:00 am.

On this fortieth day after Christmas, we celebrate Mary and Joseph bringing the Christ Child to the Temple in Jerusalem. It was there that Jesus was greeted by Simeon and Anna.

Almighty and everliving God, we humbly pray that, as your only-begotten Son was this day presented in the temple, so we may be presented to you with pure and clean hearts by Jesus Christ our Lord; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
