On Sundays, May 21 and 28, we gather for special events in the evening. On Sunday, May 21, we have our Rogation Walk and Garden Mass at 5:00 pm. On Sunday, May 28, we join Anglicans around the world for Thy Kingdom Come, a global prayer movement sponsored by the Archbishop of Canterbury. Night Prayer and Benediction will be prayed at 7:00 pm.
Sunday Evenings at St. Mark's
Sundays at 6:00 pm
On Sunday evenings we celebrate a full Sunday mass employing scripture readings, chant, silence, hymns, and homily. The music is unaccompanied, and the language is Rite Two from the Book of Common Prayer. The whole service lasts about 45 minutes. This is a wonderful way to peacefully end the weekend, while preparing one's one heart and mind for the week to come.
Night Prayer & Benediction
Sundays at 7:00 pm
At 7:00 pm we gather for Night Prayer and Benediction. This service, depending on the season, begins with either Evensong or Compline, ending with a time of adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. The choir sings occasionally, and when the choir is not singing, this service is lead by organist and cantor.
