The Sunday 11:00 am High Mass is the highlight of the week at St. Mark's. Drawing inspiration from the English and Roman Missals, the minor propers are sung, and often the Eucharistic Prayer is the ancient Roman Canon. Incense is used, and the mass includes a Rite of Sprinkling, the Last Gospel, and Marian devotions. The music is led by choir, cantors, and organist. Prior to High Mass, all are welcome to join the parish Marian Society, the Guild of the Annunciation, as they pray the Holy Rosary at 10:30 am in the St. Mary Chapel. After the High Mass, refreshments are served in the Parish Hall.

Vigil Mass and Benediction

Saturday evenings

Vespers 4:30 pm
Vigil Mass and Benediction 5:00 pm

The Saturday evening Vigil Mass is the first Mass of Sunday. Vespers is chanted at 4:30 pm, and the mass concludes with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. Incense is used, and the music is led by cantors and the organist.

Holy Hour and Latin Mass

Wednesdays

Latin Mass 12:00 noon

A Holy Hour of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is celebrated on Wednesdays at 11:00 am. Silent adoration is observed until the noonday Novena and Latin Mass. A leaflet containing English and Latin texts is provided at the mass, facilitating everyone’s participation.

Low Masses are said masses that typically last a half hour. On weekdays, these masses are a wonderful way to learn about the Church’s saints. Please check the calendar, as on the holy days, Low Masses may not be celebrated due to special High Masses in the evening. The Novena of the Guild of the Annunciation is prayed ten minutes prior to the weekday masses.
